Although originally practising in personal
injury, landlord & tenant and housing law
as well as family work, Jane Drew has for
some time specialised in the field of
children's law with an emphasis on public
law Children Act proceedings, in which she
acts for local authorities, parents and guardians.
She has particular expertise in cases involving
sexual abuse, non-accidental head injury in
babies and fabricated illness. In
private law children's work, she has wide
experience of intractable contact disputes
both as a barrister and as a Deputy District
Judge.
She is committed to representing parents with
mental health difficulties and those with drug
or alcohol problems.
She lectures on cohabitee law and related property disputes,
where her experience in the field is
invaluable.
She sits as a Deputy District Judge at the
Principal Registry of the Family Division.
